Don't Forget to Give Thanks

Thankfulness is the theme of the day. I am so blessed by my Lord. He is good. Again, the Lord brought to mind something to think on for the day. As I went to sleep last night I began to realize how much I need to be thankful to the Lord. Thankfulness does not come naturally. I kid you not, I began this post last night with one simple word...thankfulness. Today I open up a daily devotion I read now and again. What is the title? Gratitude!

Here is the passage:

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the 

Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 5:20

Love that He is so gently guiding me through these things. I love that He reaffirms them through little nudges here and there. I feel embraced by my Father in such an incredible way. My heart is overflowing with joy and thankfulness in this moment! Thankful He isn't satisfied to leave me where I am. Thankful He loves me enough to draw me even closer. Always rejoice, constantly pray, in everything give thanks.
For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart

Colossians 3:15

So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks,
and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.

your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and firm in your faith just
as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Lord, please teach me to be thankful. Let your love develop in me a spirit of gratitude for all things in my life. Let me be thankful for everything, good and bad.
